I also used a filter mag on my car. It's a very powerful magnet that's actually a little difficult to pull off the filter!

my only concern is because of the exposed location of the filter, I want as low profile a filter as will fit. The Mitsubishi is the shortest filter I've seen so far that works.

BTW my WALMART (purolator) filter and my WALMART (penzoil) oil both work fine in my car ...... PERFECT fit on the filter no leaks no nothing. i just might go to walmart again. if its ok with you.

just curious but where do you get your parts at ? and btw just because its OEM does not mean its the best for your car. For example why do folks on the forums change out thier gear oil aswell as Diff oil ? and they dont put in OEM....... the BoV on 03 - 04 evos we all know thats the best for the car to right ?!?!?!

Thanks for thoes who helped me and ***** those who are hating on walmart get a life.
lol.. i love how walmart supporters barely know how to read or write.

How much are the filters at Walmart? I just picked up 2 at the dealer for $6/each which to me is NOT that much.
