just got call about evo tonight

I received a call from Ourisman Mitsu letting me know that I'll be informed when the Evo arrives at their dealership so I can be the first.

Can't wait to check it out and test-drive it. Maybe I shouldn't tell them i don't plan on buying one anytime soon.

Uh, maybe you shouldn't tell them that!

I wanna test drive an evo. Maybe I could take my dad along so it looks like some one could actually afford the car we are looking at.

Well I'm 18 so I don't think they would let me drive it w/o someone who has a decent credit rating that is "looking at the car".

Sorry, I have no idea. I forgot to ask before I hung up. The guy's name was Eddie Duncan I believe.

You won't be test driving the Evo in the first few months unless you have a deposit down. Unless of course you're friends with the owner or something...

Do you guys actually think that dealers are going to let you walk in and test drive these cars? Absolutely not. You'll be lucky to first find a dealer that doesn't have a pending order on the Evo sitting on their lot and they won't let you test drive it until you have a signed contract and money down... unless they are completely insane. This car is not going to be like any other car where you can drive it... it'll be reserved for the REALLY serious people first.

There won't be any test drives at my dealership - and that includes the staff. The only people that can drive them will be the service tech that does the PDI and the customer who's first drive will be the trip home.
