Your monthly should be around 500 a month for 60 months. Insurance varies from area and depending on age. You should look around for a quote (esurance, unitrindirect, and progressive are good places to start). You shouldn't have to pay much more than 200 a month if your record is good. Try and put as much into your downpayment as possible if you need lower monthly payments, it's more of a monthly salary issue, or how good your credit is.

depending on your credit score, you don't have to drop any downpayment...Although, putting down a nice amount (at least $5K) won't hurt either....for maintenence work, try to learn it yourself & save a few bills. And again, insurance is dertermined by your driving record/location/age.

Well, let's see. You said you had a talk with your dad, so right there your insurance is more then likely gonna be a bit steep. I would venture a guess around the 200 range per month. As far as a monthly payment goes, depends on intrest rate/down payment.
I'm gonna buy a IX with around 2-3k down. I expect to pay around 450-550 per month. My insurance will be a bit cheaper because i'm married, have a son and i'm 29 years old. These cars are a little expensive but worth it to me.

Good luck..

yeah yeah

sounds about right, drop as much as you can on the down payment, it will lower your payments monthly, so thats a good thing

factor in also the cost of premium gas, and those prices now are high

btw, en1g, like your new qoute

well since you are going to talk to your dad you might want to see how much your insurance would be under his name and yours. I have a perfect driving record and i am 19 my insurance was 500 a month plus the car payment of 547.09 so you should look at insurance and tell your dad to help you out with the insurance put under his name not yours.
