Angry Auto insurance rate increased again!!??

For the 2nd year in a row, my auto insurance premium is going up almost 10%. Anybody else getting the same crap?

Married, over 25, no violations ever, no accidents, no claims, and ridiculous credit. Basically, I'm as clean as whistle, and it still goes up. I've owned my EVO before it was in most insurance company's systems. I've started shopping around, and no one can touch my current insurance holder. I can accept a gradual increase every year, but 10% for 2 years in row? Do you guys think the insurance folks are catching on about the EVO or just jacking premiums up?. It's starting to look like health care.

haha, oh man, insurance is the most rediculous thing when it comes to premiums. i have been steadily going down in points, (im almost a nine), and my insurance has been going up! right now im paying 267$ a month....rediculous. I dnt think its really about the car, because my lancer had really high fees, too. its just all the accident claims from drivers who just got their licence.

Yes unforunately premiums go up. As well as claims. To put it simply your premium is dictated by 1. your claim history 2. your record (such as tickets and so forth) 3. inflation 4. everything else that I dont know about. 5. EVERYONE ELSE THAT PUTS IN A CLAIM UNDER YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY.

I could go into much more detail but if 1-4 (that i listed above) are in your favor - #5 is what increases your rates and everyone else.

If you want to know more - just ask.

I don't pay near as much as you guys. I pay 153 a month for the Evo and a mazdaspeed protege and that is full coverage on both with maximum medical. Actually 10% increase is not that bad. I just renewed mine and here in Florida with all the Hurricanes last year we had a huge increase. Mine went up 16% in January when we renewed the policy.

Hell, I'm 34 with only one 2 point speeding ticket, off my record in 4 months, and I pay 200 a month. Honestly, I believe I 'm getting shafted. I even got dropped by Farmers because they said I was a liability. Please.

Insurance should be called "In case sh@t happens". Now, if nothing happens shouldn't I get my money back?

I mentioned 10% annual renewal increase because we all pay different amounts monthly (for different reasons). I was just curious if others were getting shafted too. I've been with my insurance company for 10 years and my premium has never increased as much as the past 2 years.

It's the amount of damage done to the car in accident....

I spoke with an underwriter at USAA and that car is almost the worst when it comes to repair costs. Thank the 16 year olds that wreck their cars street racing....

I agree with above... These cars are very expensive to fix even in a minor traffic accident thanks to the aluminum panels and FMIC and whatnot. I've seen evo's either totally destroyed on the highway or in minor accidents several times. Im not going to say its only the young kids, but either way, all of these accidents dont look good. Mine went up by 34 dollars per month, but I have a policy covering 4 cars, I'd have to look and see how much my evo actually went up. I am pretty sure it did though.

Call your insurance agent and ask them why it increased so much over 2 years. Sometimes they will work with you on the price if they think they will lose you as customer.

Who are you with? My rates have been going down every year. I was paying 230 a month when I first got it (bad record) and now I'm paying 163 a month
