People who have never driven an EVO don's see what I see when I look at my car. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and cash is in the hand of the EVO owner who just beat a 911. Yesterday I was hanging with a $120,000 996 Turbo in the back straight at Spring Mountain Raceway in Nevada, until we got past 90 mph, and then he just took off like a shot.

I like to add to this statement.
There are a few people - me included - who just don't find the looks of a 911 as anything much of a beauty. I have never appreciated it, from its beginings all the way to its current model lineups.
Having said that, I understand its legacy and how/why so many people love them.
I have a few close friends who've had 911's in the past; they are nice cars. But it just doesn't do anything for me.
Well after all beauty is only in the beholder's eye....

That thread makes me angry, and that Junglist guy is right. Asian, Australian, and European Porsche owners have nothing but respect for Evo's, since they have been exposed to them longer than those snotty-nosed, desperate **** who are stuck in their high school mentality worrying about what other people think when it comes to cars.
To the guy who said 911's are ugly, gimme a break. 911's are timeless and I would love to own one in the future. It has a rich racing heritage, and don't bash on it just because some ****** from a Porsche forum bash our cars.

All I have to say is that if I spent the difference between a GT3 and an EVO on mods, I would destroy ****talking morons like quartermile around the track all day... if they even BRING their cars to the track. Dont get me wrong, I love love love Porches, but I hate some of the owners
