Question Any ideas how to fix either of these problems??

I don't know if anyone has experienced these problems but it annoys the sh#@ outta me.

The arm rests in these cars suck. Lol...maybe its just mine....I dont know.

Anyway...the arm rest in the back seat WILL NOT stay in for anything. It ALWAYS pops out anytime I have people in my back seat. Any ideas how I can make it stay in?

The armrest in the front seat....the screws work themselves out alot. I want to strenghten them and the arm rest itself. Any ideas???

As far as the screws backing themselves out, I'd recommend Loctite. You could probably get by with the low-strength version, so if you had to remove the screws in the future, it wouldn't be a pain.

Here's a link to what I'm talking about:

i had the same problem after one of my friends decided not to wear her seatbelt in my backseat (wasn't at all from my spirited driving)...needless to say i was pissed the next day to see my armrest laying in the middle of the seat...anyways it is actually easy to fix...there are two pins that stick out of the sides of the armrest itself...on has a fastner that holds it in place i believe it is on the passenger side...if you take the armrest completely out, you can see the holes that the pins go into in the seat itself...they are attached to metal brackets (that are quite cheap i might add)...these brackets can actually be bent inward with your hands to make the armrest more snug...pm me if you can't figure it out...

So you just bent them in??? And it stays now? Can people actually lean on the arm rest now?

yea dude, if you can't get the brackets to bend in use channel locks...come to think of it i did too...just make sure you leave enough room to get the armrest back in...as with any metal bracket you don't want to be bending it back and forth or it will weaken...try to do it right the first time...
