ix is coming out so i don't think 32k would be a good price. people are just gonna wait the ix instead of buying an viii.

 

i'm so into rally type cars that other cars don't impress me much at all. i'd be depressed if i got rid of my evo because of too much profiling. it'd be a crying(me) shame.

Yeah I've gotten followed and pulled over. I've done a few crazy things in the car but on the whole I drive like C4S2MR does.

I'm waay too addicted to the evo to get rid of it... let them follow me around. I travel the same streets practically every day so those cops that know me know I don't go crazy.

... plus it helps being old (on the pulled over part at least). hehe

C4S2MR, I know EXACTLY what you mean. I've gotten harassed on the Toll Road by State Troopers a number of times, and it's clear most of them don't know a thing about cars.

"Well my engine is bigger than yours, so there's no reason why your car should be louder than mine."

Some cops need to read up. If I'm at fault, fine, but don't profile me like a ricer.

Mayhaps. I've been driving the Toll Road about 2 years now.. I hope the profiling will become less as time goes on!

 

With the wing on, every cop around took notice of what is was up to. I could see it and feel it. I got pulled over twice within the first two weeks I had it, still breaking it in, and then...

I took the wing off. I'm just another car again... If I'm doing somthing real stupid or I'm the only car on the road they notice, but night and day difference overall.

I'd rather take off the wing than sell it, but good luck, sweet car.

 

sounds like a lot of peeps here have taken their wings off to be less seen. i guess i never thought of that.
i never imagined taking things off that come with the car, but rather installing mods.

no offense to RS owners, but i purchased the MR for the Spoiler and the BBS wheels. i enjoy seeing the Evo with a spoiler. just my thoughts.

Any chance you'd like the GT low profile spoiler? I've got that on mine and so far have not been profiled or pulled over every in my black evo. I've gotten more tickets in my jetta (2) than my evo(0). The GT spoiler grows on you, and I think looks especially good if the car is lowered a bit.
