hmmm... I haven't got that much done

775 for rsr exhaust
250 for sparco harness bar
400 slotted rotors from rotara
500 defi boost and oil press. and meter
1000 for blue seude custom interior (to offset the "cheap look" my girlfriend is always nagging about)
and thats it

You're getting mixed results here. Some people are including the cost for labor and some aren't. You can easily have spent $4000 in mods, but if you include labor it might be more like $6000.

I'm right around $8000 including the conversion, stereo, cosmetic parts, performance parts, and a flash/tune. I've done everything myself as far as installation, so I'd probably be around $10000 total if I would've had to pay for installs. It's worth it.

for my mods, i've done all my own work so $0 in labor costs.

the '03 costs also include a 1000 watt audio system installed by me.
