gauges on a touchscreen possible?

Hey guys, I just picked my Evo last week. I found a 2003 EVO VIII with only 1,900 miles on it sitting on a Dodge used car lot. I had my friend who has an 05 Evo RS take a look at it and test drive it and he said it was in perfect conditon. the Dealers wanted $30,100 and I talked them down to $25,900 the first nite I was there. I told them that was to much and left. The next day I emailed the sales manager and told him that I would give $23,000 for it, and he called me 10 mins later and told me to come pick it up! lol. So anyway, I hear that I got a pretty good deal.

Anyway, I have been searching the forums for some info about gadges and I can't find what Im looking for. I want to know if it's possible to have your gauges (i.e boost, oil temp, etc) on a flip out touch screen that comes from your DVD deck or whatever that what would display all these gauges in real time. I really want to go this route if possible vise having gauges mounted all over my dash. Is there something like that out there? Thanks in advance for your help....

-CI

yea it is. HKS has a unit i believe Z1auto carries it. Its around $1000 and you need to buy a screen, flip out or not, for it also.

the HKS Camp unit is the only one I'm aware of, but its very expensive (as the above post states) I also think its discontinued or portions of it are...

I have seen some other proprietary solutions for a display/gauge setup.. But not alot of demand out there so you don't see many products.

hks c.a.m.p.

parts of it have been discontinued though... but those parts are just various sensors... purchasing the unit... then purchasing each module for whatever guage you have... along with the touch screen... it's alot of bling bro...

might wanna consider a carputer like myself... i have all the readings routed to a touchscreen monitor and the readings are uploaded through the compy... on top of that... i still have dvd, navi, mp3 player, etc. etc. etc.

Try searching for Gauges. I have a feeling you may have searched for gadges without much luck.

C.A.M.P is the unit you're looking for... made by HKS... it's expensive and hard to source all needed parts, like others said above... but, there is that cool aquarium mode where you have to drive and maintain the car to keep the fish alive like allow cool down time etc... lol... something like that...... (never seen it, just read ppl talking about it)

Comment about your sig:

"Lepracy" would be a disease of extremely ugly Subaru Legacys with parts falling off.

People get leprosy.

That's exactly what Im looking for. But from the sounds of it..not many ppl are using this method. I like the idea of monitoring the everything on the screen vise having gauges lining my dash lol....Thanks for the help guys. Also, Im thinking about taking my car to Vishnu in a couple months to have them upgrade to their 360hp package. Anyone else done this? Worth it?

What kind of software do you use and how do you hook up the gauges to the computer itself?
