I was thinking of selling my OEM hood and getting a carbon fiber one. It is the graphite grey MR hood. But before I do I was wondering how much I should be asking for the hood. And is shipping hard for hoods?

 

I think you could get $100 to $150 for it in good condition. Shipping would be just under $100 or so.

 

i understand what ur doing, but i think u should keep ur stock hood also. u never know when u might need it. same with replacing stock parts with aftermarket, its always good to have backups

I doubt that you can ship it anywhere for 100$ as it has to go by commercial trucking and not UPS or Fed Ex ground.

 

Yea I doubt I could ship it for $100 also. Also is anybody interested. Ive settled on $400. Half price of factory. Also buyer pays shipping but I do welcome local pickup. Im in Maryland.

I'd really consider keeping any MR parts if you ever think you MIGHT sell the car. Some people are thinking of them as possible collectors (I'm not quite in that group, but I like the idea) and if that the type of person that wants to ever buy your car, the may want all OEM stuff...just a thought.

 

Ive thought of that before also. And I am glad for your input. However, I know I wont be selling this car anytime soon. And as far as keeping it stock its already too late. I never bought this car with the intent to keep it stock. But again. Good looking out.
