Misfire with higher octane?
Misfire with higher octane?
I mixedsome 112 with 93 yesterday to get to 99.7 blended. I took the car out and everything was fine for about 10 minutes and I got on it pretty good. Then, I was driving and got caught behind somebody, left it at about 5500 in 2nd for maybe 5 seconds or so. Then, as soon as I got on the accelerator, engine pulled back and engine light went on. Checked and it was a misfire code. Car has 272s, cam gears, exaust with test, 255 fuel pump, and XEDE running 1++ base map for 93. Never thrown this code before. 6000 miles on spark plugs. I think it is probably just the spark plugs wearing out. Any other reason why running higher octane would cause this aside from the obvious? Thanks for any feedback.
