had fun with Evo what next?
i had to test a new 350Z after i fixed the sqeeky left wheel bearing, and if you know, in order to simulate the noise, you have to throw it into a hard right turn to apply weight to it, and man, i was impressed at how the whole car moved. It had very little body roll and was really responsive. it should be considered, after all, a guy in a suit with a briefcase was driving it! haha
Just De-wing the EVO or if you insist you buy a new ride I would go for a new Acura TL: 270 hp, NA, 17s, 6 speed, Brembos, LSD, etc...

or if that's too sedate how about a used NSX:

Just watched Best Motoring 4 with all the NSXes versus an EVO VII, Evo started last and finished 2nd. Sweet race, those NSXes drift mad.

Lots of nice ideas thanks everyone....
I test drove an Acura TL 270hp nice enterior but all that power to front wheels sucked for cornering it was all over the place very messy
Next I drove a new 300c AWD 340hp crystler I was impressed with the car but it was HUGE a little too big for me but not a bad option.
I also drove a 2005 C6 vette and WOW it was fast and nice inside but not a practical car for me.
I drove a G35 sedan that was equiped with AWD and liked the car a lot but it just didn't have the performance I'm looking for and I am not into adding a ton of after market parts to achieve what should have been on the car to begin with.
I rode in a friends M3 and liked it a lot however hers was a bit older and hard to compare to the newer ones these are also hard to find 2002-2004 with low miles just not very comon at all.
I talked to a friend who had driven the CTS-V (someone I trust a lot and who knows cars) and he didn't like it much at all. I also checked specs on it and there is something wrong with a car that has so much power and is that slow I'm guessing caddy screwed the gearing up big time.
looked at Used NSX but not enough power and not a good daily driver practical car
Porche has WAY too high maintanence seems like they are in the shop more than on the road nice cars to drive but I need more reliability than that.
Skylines are ganna be out of my price range and still not a very classy car
looked at the S4 not all that impressed when compared to the M3 or AMG mercedes
so as of now my top two choices are the BMW M3 and the Mercedes C55 AMG both have full size V8's and a ton of power/torque and good handling all packaged in a professional comfertable luxury car. But as stated before both of these are VERY hard to find used ones in good cond. with low miles especially the AMG C55 since its only been out a couple years. I found 6 for sale in the entire US lol.
Anyway I'm still researching driving and trying to find the PERFECT car for me wish me luck and thanks again for all you input

You stated that you liked the C55, but was really hard to find. My friend has a C32, and that car can hang even with an Evo (stock) and is still way refined for daily driving. There are also performance gains to be had via pulley upgrades to the supercharger. If you are in a cold climate, with snow tires life is good. Just a thought.
classy like how? for less than you paid for an evo you could get a brand new legacy GT. they look classy, and are ultra agressive. pdx tuning flashed one, and did full exhaust on an 05 the other day, and it gained 85 WHP. that puts you in evo territory, no big wing, looks classier, low cost, and somewhat of a sleeper. also someone mentioned it but a new S40 T5, or a i forget the name, but the new Sabb that is basically built off of WRX platform. just my .02, but i have heard nothing but great things about the new legacy.
Give us some parameters! Does it need to seat 4? If so, comfortably, or just seat 'em?
Is RWD or AWD a must? I've been doing the same kind of thinking and really like the G35 Coupe 6MT. Even found a leftover '04 G35 6MT (6 sp, Brembos, etc...) and the dealer had the beautiful '05 19" forged wheels on it because some idiot bought an '05 and didn't want that BIG of wheel on it!? Red with aero package, premium package, splash guards, floor mats & only $31K with 600 mi on it. I'm 6'01", so not a lot of headroom, but sweet driving well-balanced car, throaty raspy exhaust, real fun gassing it and having rear end gently swing around with perfect controlability. Leather heated seats, nice stereo, cruise control, knockout good looks and can seat 4 if you have to. CTS-V : took a test drive in one. Kinda freaky hearing that V8 rumble when you gas it, looks cool, seats 4 comfortably ... it's a big heavy car & I'm not impressed with GM reliability, but sure would be tempting if you could steal one for $40K. I don't know anyone who has owned one of the German makes you've mentioned. Haven't even driven a BMW or Mercedes, so I can't comment. Have you driven a G35 Coupe? Keep us updated!

So I went and test drove the lagacy GT and was pleased with it. Much more comfortable than the Evo performance wise its about like a stock WRX (give or take its close) and according to Subaru themselves with a chip and exhaust you can put down more WHP than a stock STI. I also found that this car will save me 50 bucks a month in insurance which is a big plus.
I also like the idea of the C32 only real difference between them and the C55 which I absolutely love is supercharged V6 instead of the N/A V8 but basically the same power and almost same performance. But as with the C55 the C32 is very hard to find used and most of them have been drivin pretty hard from what I can tell. Insurance wise they are about the same as the Evo but they for sure have the class that the Evo is lacking.
These are my top pics so far but I'm still looking around.
Thanks for all the ideas and info all

Now I'm looking for something a little more professional and classy but I don't want to give up much performance. I want something that is more comfortable and that makes a nicer daily driver without sacrifising the acceleration or too much handling.
Currently I'm looking at used M3 or used AMG series mercedes anyone have any other ideas for a budget of 45k or under? (I don't like audi/VW)
