What should the EVO commerical be like?

This is so important because it will be the first time the majority of Americans will have heard about an EVO.



I think the commercial should go like this:

We see a blue WRX hitting the turns hard coming down a hill. It acclerates through the corners hard. Then we hear an EVO screaming down the hill right behind, jockeying for position. It pulls right behind the WRX....

the commerical then cuts to a close up of the EVO front mount. And the camera follows the air through the intercooler ( kind of like a Fast and Furious effect), we see the turbo...exhaust blah blah...


Zoom out of the exhaust and the camera is raised. The EVO starts to hit hard, RPMs go up and at the next turn makes a solid drift right past the WRX and to the finish line. at the end of the commerical

"Yes, Mitsubishi also knows the Beauty of All-Wheel Drive"


Thats my idea...just made it up..

 

Boooo to commercials.

If someone doesn't already know about this car.....they don't need to.

 

That sounds a hell of a lot better than the stupid flash commercial that kid on here made.

 

A EVO 8 pulls up to a light towing a charger. Some dudes pull up next to it and they ask, "does that thing have a hemi?"
Evo 8 owner replies "yep."
The light turns green and the EVO destroys the other car. At the next red light, the EVO owner says, "oh you meant EVO...If you don't know what this is, you wouldn't understand it anyway."

OK so its not original.

 

Damn thats one hell of a commerial if made. Ever thinking about entering the advertisement industry IwantEvoviii? Too bad I think copyright type of issues would hold this back. Don't think you can boldy put your competitors' products in your own commericals. Thats why most commericals doing comparisons is own product vs a product label "competitor" instead the competitor's product. Example is like those detergent commericals. It's always own product vs a plain bottle of detergent labeled "competitor."

Haha.. Good ideas.. but I rather not see a commercial. This car should be for "car enthusaists"(spelling).. Not some stupid 16 year old who just got his license and has mommy and daddy by them a car. No offense to anyone, but I meet way to many idiots per day. I had a guy pull up to me, swooning over my ride. He was like is that 280HP. i was like.. i wish.. and pulled off. Some kid also asked me, hey does your spoiler make you go faster.. BAH!. "I replied. ya and MY RRM sticker gives 5 hp."

Edited: Everyone has a TV. Not everyone knows how to drive. Nor deserves a vehicle with such a great history.

 

It's nice, but I highly doubt that Mits would use a WRX in their commercial, since they'll actually be promoting the WRX as well. People would say, hey, I can't afford an Evo, but I can afford a WRX...

 

I agree...The last thing that is needed is a 16y/o getting a hold of one of these. That would be a tragedy. Let them learn how to drive first. With their grand pa's Le Sabre. Maybe Harley Earl can help.

yeah, the absolute LAST thing the evo line needs is a bunch of punks giving evo a bad name. imo i think they shouldn't advertise at all. it'll same mitsubishi some money on commercials, and they're producing them in very limited numbers so its not like they're not gonna be able to sell them all...

 

And here is how the actual commercial will go...
We hear a really lame song playing while the camera focuses in on 2 guys in the evo (very gay looking I may add) taking corners on a twisty road, laughing and smiling...albeit they are only going maybe 35....Song ends and the screen says Mitsu Evolution....starting at $29,000

 

Haha.with some lil kid pop locking in the backseat. Btw did anyone see that one guy on comedy channel make fun of it. I forgot his name, Chavelle or something the guy from Half Baked.

 

God... I hope it isn't like a cute commercial for the New Beetle, Jetta, or Neon. Remember those "Smile" commercials for the Neon?

 

I agree SHUSSSSH....the last thing we want is for some self indulgent weener with too much bloody money parking outside the local starbucks in one of these......now what else do you have in your warehouse!!!!!!
