Hey im 16 but it kind sucks that your saying that a 16 year old who just got his license cant handle this car. Ive driven an s2000 and an m3 a few times and I think I drive really good, I do agree that some idiots ask those kind of questions. But I am too one of those “car enthusiasts” for this car.

Not trying to flame 16 year olds in general. But I am just aiming towards the kids I see at my sisters school who get a BMW $50,000 ride cause thier mommy gives it to them and see it wrapped around the pole because the kid thought it was cool to step on the gas. Of course I don't take it out on you because as you say you are a car enthuiast so you have every right to get this car, as long as you got a legit reason, not just because you seen two retarded girls hoppingn in the front seats dancing to Coombiyah(spelling).... ^_^ .... I met the man that is making the new Endeavor commercial he is also working on the evo commercial. They showed us the Evo storyboards it is going to be based mostly on the rally footage with some spirited driving on the roads with lots of movement. It looks like it is going to be a cool commercial.

 

i hate to say it but i'm thinking that they are gona bank more on the fast & furious than rally aspect since that is what most america will register the Evo with since it seems like Mitsu is takeing a break from rally this year.

Or one of those "MACHO" truck commercials like "Built Ford Tough" or "Chevy, Like a Rooock". You know the commercials that are geared toward men who drive "MANLY" trucks because they can't get it up in bed.

 

Not quite, Mitsubishi of America is rallying 2 cars (badged as EVO 8) in Open Class competition for the SCCA ProRally series, as well as select CARS (Canadian Association for Rally Sport) events. Lineup is David Higgins/Daniel Barritt in car number 1 and Lauchlin O'Sullivan/Mark Williams in car number 6.
BTW the Rally cars look great, I just saw them recently at the Rallye de Quebec... the navigator has a really nice computer setup controlling settings on the diffs as well as giving all kinds of readouts and providing different alarms. If you like WRC, check out SCCA ProRally... it's happening in your back yard!

true but the most rally John Q public knows of and sees (on speed vision) is the W.R.C. not all are the rally fans we are.and i still believe that Mitsu feels that they will have a greater market with the fast & furious crowd after the success of the first movie.
i will put money on more people seeing the movie than watching the rally event going on at the sametime.now i know it is something that we don't really want to happen but unless they make a rally movie that has the same power as fast & furious did and with a EVO as the main car i still see more people reconizing the EVO from f&f 2.please don't get me wrong...i don't really want to see this happen as much as the next EVO fan it's just the way the people who come up with the marketing think
