CAUTION. Goodridge brake lines
Hey guys today I was in my car on the freeway cruising at about 45 in some light traffic. The freeway turns into a tunnel underpass with two lanes and there is traffic going like 5 - 10 mph, so naturally i apply the brakes. Nothing happens as the pedal goes all the way to the floor and a fine mist sprays from my left front wheel well. I swerved out of the way and avoided an accident with the car in front of me. After i pulled over i realized that my brakes had failed and there was either a leak in the line or it had broken or come off completely. I think I heard about a similar incident with the same style of braided brake lines so i wanted to warn you guys with the same type to be careful. This seriously scared the **** out of me because im always used to the firm and quick stops that the evos brakes give me, but this time i had no stopping power; pretty scary stuff.
Ill update this with what the cause was once i get it to the dealer, but im thinking its either ruptured or it came off somewhere.

on my buddies wrx his goodridge line failed braking into a turn, good thing he was on a track with a lot of run off. we later found the line had been rubbing on the coilover, keep them away from moving parts.

that is kind of ridiculous because someone could get seriously hurt by this. im hoping its some kind of installation error and not a design error that caused this because what if someone couldnt avoid an accident?

I almost got the Goodridges too, but I read about the Goodridge problem on another thread. I ended up getting the Agency Power SS braided brake line. I'll have to go double check to see if they are rubbing at all.

The first batch of Goodridge SS lines were too long, and hence the rubbing. They fixed it in subsequent batches though - I have one from a later run, and have had them in about 2-3K now. So far, so good!

I bought a set of GoodRidge *ReWork* version from a vendor on this forum. Here is the picture of the rear connector compare the the GoodRidge *G-Stop* version.
The problem is that the ReWork line will not mate tighly up to the stock Hard Line connector. Good thing we found this out while the car was on the lift.
Beside that, the *ReWork* parts are identical to the *G-Stop* version in quality and craftmanship.
