evo IX tail lights

evo IX tail lights

i want to throw the evo IX tail lights on my car but I havent seen anyone selling them yet,
does anyone know of any vendors selling these yet?
i see theres already group buys for the IX bumpers so hopefully if no one has these tailights yet they will be around real soon!

Looks like to me all they did was paint the plastic black instead of chrome. You can do that with your oven and about 6bucks of paint and primer. Or just mail your old ones to evodave and for just over 100 bucks he'll do it for you.

they're not black.

they're smoked. if you look at any of the pictures, they're a grey color.

really hard to see though, you can tell it's not black, nor evo 8 chrome.

whoa, you can't tell the difference between those two photos?

the top picture was the one i was tryin to find.

just don't go buying authentic jdm tails, and then try and get the ix headlights to match.

People at the auto show, where many of the only pictures were taken, knew they weren't black.

yah i have yet to see them in person but i think the grey color of them would go nice with my graphite gray car

I think the big difference in the two lights is the IX will have a gloss coat of what appears to be a gunmetal coat on the lights. The painted ones on the black evo above is just flat black engine paint. You could use any color and you can get the same effect as the IX.
