Great job on your Evo, JoCCe!!

What is your latest horspower figure when you made that quarter mile run?

Cheers and good luck on your 10 second run

You have to read everything I write ... I had some problems on the track with to much grip in the start ... the dragstrip is preparated with trackbite and that is no good for me who has a HUGE turbo and 4x4 ... On the street (no trackbite) we have measured 10,75@209 with reliable instruments ... And that was in my second standing start ever with the car ...

When people ask me about the performance I usually tell them this:

0-100km/h: under 3,0 s
0-200km/h: under 10 s

Because if I give them the "real" figures they always say that they don´t belive me ... But everyone who I´ve taken for a ride belive me ... The funny part is that when I´ve given people a ride I´ve never used racefuel (2,3 bar boost) ... only regular fuel (2,0 bar boost) ... but they still belive me ...

Then you have a 10 sec car already in your hands. For sure a 10 second run if you have to problem with your traction

I ran numerous 10.9 second runs with full interior, A/C and power steering. And that was with only 523HP to the wheels, on a humid 36 degree celsius day.

With your car, 10 seconds is easy

523hp at the wheels are about 650hp in the engine ... I also belive that a 10 s run is close ... My 60-feet time is about 1,9s ... It should be about 1,7 ... Perhaps I´ve got too big exhausthousing on my turbo ... Here in Sweden we have a MK IV Supra that ran 10,41@216 last year ... I compared my times with his and here is the results:

0-201m: Supra 1,0 s faster
201-402m: Supra and EVO are equal

I belive that I have to get the boost a little bit faster ... then a 10 run should be no problem at all ...

A GSX R will not be able to follow a standard evo on country roads, so with 650bhp an evo will be much faster.
And BTW the evo does it in 2.8s, but without slick soft tyres, NOS and launch control

You were right guys ... the Öhlins Track & Road was to soft for me ... the Öhlins Tarmac-rallysetup is on it´s way now ... We will do some other mods. during the next 2 weeks ... I´ll get back with the results ... I´ve driven the car 3350 km until now and it´s still working perfect ...

Have a look in the next issue of Banzai Magazine ...
