wait, you guys are going to the same college together? was that planned or is it a coincidence? If its a big school, get rid of her, you'll find better, there always is. Get her something cheesy for Anniversary present. Plan a picnic, cheap and romantic, go to prom, after your night of fun. Then drop her as you're dropping her off at her door. That saves a b-day present

jesus christ you are spending a lot on your gf. i say spend 200-300max, including prom. what do you need to spend so much on her for? to buy her love? and some guy said,
The Car will always be there. SHE WON't
he says spend the money on her, but think about it and spend the money on something that you'll always have with you, not the thing(haha, i called her a thing. no offense to her or women in general) that will leave you. or vise versa.

I was in the same situation as you before. My girl and I have been going out for nearly 2 yrs now. Last year in high school I took her to prom, out to dinner, gave a bday gift, and gave her an anniversary gift all within about 2 weeks. I had about 1000 dollars. I used these special discount cards people had a school and nearly got a free tux rental, spent 80 bux on prom tickets, 80 bux on dinner, 100 dollar anniversary gift, and an mp3 player for her bday so she can listen to music when she works out. So right there that is about spending 280 dollars, give or take a few. Then I spent the rest of the money towards rims/tires and lowering springs. I am still with the same girl and we are in college. We go to colleges that are 50 miles apart. We both commute to school so I get to see her all the time. (3 times a week) Other girls at college can be tempting, but I doubt they will ever equal my girlfriend. The grass isn't always greener on the other side. Its all up to you to find that out or not.

1. a girl once asked me if we ever went out, would I love the car more than I will love her.

I answered no, the car at the end is just the car, its 2 different kind of love.

2. My friend told me once that I don't need a girl at all, as long as I had an Evo he couldn't possibily see what more I could want out of life.

I told him, I am pretty happy right now with no girl and an Evo.

Although, if you are actually thinking about leaving your girl so you can spend all the money on your car, you obviously don't wanna be with her that bad. And unless you wanna be lonely for a long time, get a good job so you have enough money for both in the future.
I like your advice, that's what I would do.

i'm gonna have to hate for a second. you are one spoiled **** to be drivin' an evo in high school. "Luckeeeee!" I think you're splitting the wrong way. It should be $600 evo...MAYBE $400 girl. It's a high school g/f for craps sake. It's not like a wife that he has to live with. He already said it won't last when he goes to college. If i was in your situation as of right now, I would ditch the girl NOW and buy the car stuff.

Alright...dont listen to anyone else....b/c I went through the same thing...I had a g/f for three years in h/s and an evo my senior year in HS...My girlfriend and I are no longer going out (cause im in college)...BIG SUPRISE...right?...no..

What you need to do is spend just enough money on her to keep her through the year and up untill you get to college...I mean bare minumun!! b/c that way you keep her for fun then you spend the excess cash on the car....Now you have the best of both worlds, b/c you still want a date for prom...and you want someone to mess around with during the summer...I know it sound pompous and indignant...but both your lives will probably be heading in different directions, when you enter into college...so why not roll through your college campus with a trick *** ride..w/some trick *** hoes!!lol <--disregard the hoe thing (Chappelle show...)

it seems to me that you made up your mind already. Why don't you do what you want, but can't admit.... unless you don't mean the quote above. If you don't then I would split the funds. Don't get me wrong, women are amazing, but I think you just want your desires to be validated..... I think I've spent too much time with psychology majors.
