Enjoy the car. If she gives you grief, move on. It's your money, If you marry her it's her money. Life is too short for drama.

true...I went to college, got a good job, and finally bought the car myself.

Man, so many answers. What will you do? Your decision should not depend on whether you love her or not. Just what makes sense. You shouldn't have to buy her affection. However, you still have to consider the pu-tang factor. That is, do you have other sources of pu-tang if you give up this one, and how important is pu-tang to you. If you are not getting pu-tang, it's a moot point. Since you are both in high school you might want to consider splitting the prom bill, but still buy her a reasonably priced gift. What ever you choose will be the right choice for you. You can't go wrong.

I didn't bother reading the rest of the thread other than the first post. First of all, people are more important than cars. If she is ragging on you for spending money on your car than I can understand your frustration. If she ISN'T ragging on you than spend the money on her rather than the car.

**** bro...your still in HS. whats that band you young folk listen to?

....the chorus goes something like, "girls don't like boys, girls like cars and money...."

...haha, anyways. lots of good advice man, you sparked a lot of responses. with my female rap sheet, not sure if you should take my advice, but here is the flow...

i was with a girl for almost 2 years in high school, spent all my time and money on her and my car. eventually she left my for my best friends older bro. college comes and high school is not **** like the real world. some marry their high school sweethearts, but you have to go on your own intuition on this. because that extra you might save on finding out she is a lemon under her hood could go to a nice chunk of xtras for your other beauty.

just keep an eye on her. there are few decent women out there...if you are already questioning your feelings for her over a machine, im already seein this as something not worth investing your time (or money) into. cut your losses and take your pride with you. or she could be a sweetheart, and you are the douchebag who talks about his car 24/7. (which i hope isn't the case) either way. posting it on your car forum to make or break your relationship already shows the true personality of the whole situation...

The other HS boy has a G35 so I'm assuming it's a richie neghiborhood. More power to them and we should be happy for them not jealous

For a HS kid thinking of spending $2000 on his gf is insane. $1000 is still too much but if his girl really loves him, she should want him to spend the 2K on this car just to make him happy. That's my opinon anyways. Most people break up b4 going to college anyways and some regret it.

well i busted my *** for my ****. appreciate it that much more when you know your long hours and work go into somethin you bought, and tuned. i know some rich *** kids, i am happy for them and their financial advantage....but a majority have no real sense of value for money and how it affects other people's lives. i use to be poor as ****, now im ballin and appreciate it much more comin up knowin it's because of me and not pop's checking account ;-) anyways...biotches, they come and they go.

My girlfriend is a *****, and the car doesn't nag...I feel much better spending $$ on the car than on her, since at least I know I'll get some enjoyment out of the money I spent on the car

Dump her. That's just old anti-social me, though. You're in high school, you have time, don't waste it on her. Believe me, you will regret it. Do what you will with the money.
