I went through a similar situation last summer. I had been saving for my evo and I started dating this girl. Well all I can say now is I have the car and not the girl... For me it was easy. Just remember, your Evo will never fight with you, never cheat on you, nor lie to you.

see if you were a true pimp, you wouldn't need to spend much on your girl to satisfy her. if you feel what im saying. truthfully, if all feeling for her is special to you, buying her more sentimental things will be more greatly appreciated rather than any expensive gift. the only thing i've giving my girlfriend was a promise ring. and day to day lovin'. and we are still runnin it almost 3 years now.

It still amazes me that kids in high school are driving Evo's. You guys are either 1) spoiled, 2) hard workers, or 3) all of the above. In high school I drove a rusted minivan with only 1 working door. At least I had a big back seat...

bottom line...prom should be kick a$$ time! how ever your evo doesnt talk back, its does try and tell you what to do, it listens to what you tell it to do,and most important the evo doesnt BIT**!!! Plus your in high school and with an evo you should be getting much trim all summer before you go to college!!

so im not going to bother reading the responses. here's my take. dont break up with her but spend the majority of the money on what you want to do with it. if that means spending it on your car, then do it. You'll be graduating soon and going off to college and she just won't be around for too much longer. So don't go blowing a Gee if you think thats going to make her happy. In the end she'll take your money and probably run off with some other d00d. :\

Hahahahahaha... i love this post. I am in the same current situation. But not in HS anymore. And my 2 year is coming up shortly as well.

Here is my advice... RUN AS FAR AND AS FAST as possible. Me and my gf went to school together, it may be great, but it is also a job itself. You may think "wow if i go to school with her i will get laid everyday..." well if you have any idea what college is like 90% of the girls run around in sweat pants and hoodies. and your sex life dwindles down to next to nothing. Although this could be a problem on my half cause all i do is do stuff dealing wtih cars. haha... If you love her then well i guess you got your answer. As for a few things that are just funny i thought i was the only guy with poor timing. My gf has her bday on DEC 26.. yes thats right the day after christmas. And she thinks shes jessica simpson... soo theres no escaping the never ending madness of " i want this... "

Wish you better luck though lol.

Its funny to see that there are many in this situation as well.

If your thinking about breaking up with her, don't even think twice about wasting the money on her.

Chicks come and go, but the opportunity to be young and stupid only comes once in a lifetime (that is why I bought the EVO). Chances are in 10 years you'll be married have kids and will not have the funds to drop a g on car.
Just remember, a car does what you tell it to, in most cases a chick doesn't.
