You can easily disable the limiter using that guide. Another easy way to raise/remove limiter is to get a flash with "launch control." I think UTEC, Works P2R flash, and XEDE have these, not completely sure, though.

It comes into effect in neutral, which absolutely kills you when launching, as I found out yesterday. The car basically shut down and wouldn't engage until I waited a half second for the rpms to drop again.

Damn, one day too late. I didn't know how badly this feature affected launches when it kicks in. I do believe the author of this post was right in his assumption that timing is pulled significantly when this happens. My engine didn't shut off, but it was as if I couldn't move. It does NOT let you engage the clutch when this feature clicks on.

It's not launch control, it's launch denial. I went and tested it in my driveway and it actually STARTS to pull timing at around 4700rpm, then at 5k it starts bouncing (kinda like idle surge if you've ever heard that) while pulling almost all the timing. You can't even try to launch at that point, so that's why we don't like it.

To get a 12.5@107, you obviously didn't have any trouble launching, because that's an INCREDIBLE time for that mph. Look at all the guys with 12.9 and 13.0 at the same mph. You had to have a 1.65-1.70 60' with that, right? If I had an ACT instead of this crap stock clutch, there's no telling what I could do (including breaking tranny parts).
