Installed the GSC 272in/264ex cams yesterday and all I can say is WOW!!! Also installed a ACT clutch so I cannot give the car a little hell yet but the power and sound is amazing....The car made 336hp and 311lbs of torque tuned by the incredible Doug at TopSpeed...Thanks Doug and also Gonzo for the additional help...Will see you guys soon.....TopSpeed definately hit the DeepSpot with this one...More posted later, but the car is running on stock injectors and intercooler, and 20 psi...More to come ?s and comments welcome

 

Hows the everyday driving + idle with the GSC 272/264 combo? I just ordered this and should be getting it tomorrow, just wondering what to expect.

 

The idle sounds like a V8 monster, it wont stall though...It sounds mean as hell and i like it....The everyday driving is incredible, I will be posting the graph shortly...Enjoy!!!

is it real lopy?? I want to get this but I dont want the sound, trying to go stealth...plz let me know if the combo is very lopy, and if by any means do you think it can be tuned out on an AFC II or flash...thanks

Other mods are Ultimate Racing 3" TB,K&N Typhoon,Greddy emanage and e-01 BC set at 20psi,Samco hoses, grounding kit....Man I wish I had gotten cams along time ago or tuned better...man its hard not to slap through the gears...500 miles seems like waiting on Christmas

As for the lopy idle, YES it is lopy, but I dont mind, its something different for me...We did not try and tune it out at all, but I am sure it could easily be done.

EVO11V thanks for the compliment...These cams are worth the money and produce mad gains, I do not knowthe exact amount but EvoTexas stated 47hp increase, which I would say is close for peak, but prob 30 to 35hp through the range....Happ Tuning to all

 

I'm saving for this combo as well. How much different are the numbers from this combo Vs. 264's.

I installed some yesterday. Yes they are lopey,and I love it. For comparison, a buddy of mine was there with his HKS 272/272 and the cars sounded very similar. The power is definately noticeable from about 4k up.

Yes I remember you...you came up with Chris too...We played down the highway a little....The Evo is for sale now actually, it needed a new clutch and tune, so I csiad what the hell threw in the cams so I could feel them before/if the car is gone. The right price could take her at the end of the month...Car is VERY clean!!Low miles..so you getting these cams too??

As for TopSpeed, theres not another choice for me out there...PERIOD

 

thanks man, I agree, but I havent had the chance to really feel them as the clutch was installed the same day..so this 500 mile break in period iskilling me right now.

 

great power, congrats to you. i hate clutch breakins, the wait kills me. It sounds like you already broke that clutch in on the dyno.
