Need honest input...cam setup

I've been seeing a lot about different cam setups on here - the only problem is, everyone LOVES each setup lol. So I'm asking which is the best setup (of the two I posted). Please vote, and if you would please also explain your choice and the reasoning behind it. Also note that this would be used with stock cam gears and a dynoflash mail-in.

Thank you so much for your input!

Tyler

IF A MOD SEES THIS: please add: GSC 272/272 option onto poll. Thanks

I voted for the 272/262 setup. If you search for these setups, GSC claims this setup will allow more power, and the 262 exhaust cam isn't necessary unless you plan on later upgrading the turbo. Personally, I am soon ordering the 272in/262ex, and they seem to have amazing power gains. Hope that helps some.

Yeah I was hearing some good stuff about the 272 in/264 ex. setup, but couldn't believe it because I ALWAYS thought having more cam lift in the exhaust side is the better setup.

I never understood the 272 intake and 264 exhaust setup. If anything you want a larger duration for the exhaust as this is where your power is made. The only reason you want a smaller duration up front is to give you a better idle but will sacrifice some WHP and topend.

If ANYTHING get 264 intake and 272 exhaust. The more hot exhaust gases that get expelled the cooler things are and more cool air to get sucked in.

I got sraight 272's, get them.

Did you need to run different cam gears with the 272s, or will the car run fine without them? I don't mind a lopey idle, but I don't want it to stall.

Different tuners say different things

Both Turbo Trixx and Buschur I BELIEVE do not use gears, while others do. I don't use them nor will I ever.

straight 272's and a proper tune will get you a GREAT idle and GREAT power. 272's will LOWER your EGT's and add massive topend ability. If you uses a 264 with any upgraded turbo you may be losing some whp.
