Is anyone importing here?

Last year when I didn't have any money, I was offered a chance to buy an Evo 5. But I couldn't afford it! Now I have about 16,000 and I was hoping to find someone that could import a Lancer. I could get a loan for about 15,000. So I can pay about 31,000. If anyone knows about anyone importing... Please contact me!

You legally cannot bring any EVO's into the USA, unless they are strictly for racing and will not be allowed to be registered for the street! No if's, and's or but's!!!!

Even if (and that is an if, not a when) Evolution Imports does clear the EVO VII, but not any prior models.

Some people think you can swap vin's from a mirage, etc..... Not too many people have the $ and ***** to do that, so that is not going to work either (illegal too).

At least with the Skyline (not the Sylvia) you can pay Motorex to convert it for you.

The last thing you want to do is speeding in these cars (which there are several roaming in the country) and got caught...

J's cannot do the mods.....Motorex is the only Registered Importer who knows the mods to do. That is their secret weapon! I think they will do it for a personal car for $10k (so I heard). I think their website says something like $30k.?

here is a direct quote from their website...... This may be old by now... I think they can do it for $10k now.?

In order to import the vehicle to the US legally it must be imported though Motorex,Inc. .The cost for us to legalize a car for you varies from $16,000 - $25,000 depending on the year of the vehicle. This does not include shipping , bonds ,tarriffs , custom brokerage fee , and associated shipping fees.
The additional cost varies as the bond cost (450% of the value of the vehicle) , and tarriff cost(2.5% of the value of the vehicle) varies with the value of the vehicle , also shipping can be roll on/roll off or container. Expect the other costs to be $4000 - $5000 .
