DSM Fire at Mitsubishi vs Subaru Event...large pics
What a horrible thing to have to watch: Who knows how many hours of blood, sweat, cash and tears, slowly burning away. Thats gotta be the worst! Judging by how the photos play out, it looked like at first it might be a controllable fire with some loss, but not the entire freeking car. Every minute that goes on, you realize more and more of the car is going, until you're stairing at a total loss.
As many have said, the most important thing is he didn't get hurt. But damn, thats some cold cold sh*t.

That'll buff right out
glad the driver is ok, that lady looks awfully wrecked over it...since they said she owns the car. Drive didn't seem to happy to have to watch the car go up in flames, thats lame.

I would have down right cried if it were my car, and for those that asked earlier, yes the race went on after they cleaned it all up. Once I PS my pics, if any are something that already wasn't posted and decent, I'll post them here as well.
I was there.... Evo vs. WRX shootout @ Norwalk, OH
The car was beautiful and FAST I believe he was running 10's-11's all day. We were told a nitrous line blew off and until the bottle emptied, the fire was fueled and there was no stopping it. That's just what we were told.
Hopefully some big magazine or shop will see pics and video and help him out bigtime to get back on track. Literally! Poor guy, no one thinks about stuff like that on their way to race in an event like that.
