Adjust BOV spring?

Heard it was a stupid idea. Just want to get some input. I have an "evo 8 specific" HKS SSQV...or so said the seller. Does this mean my spring is adjusted for my car already?

the reason why i even considered it in the first place is because iv'e got a little bit of flutter at low rpms and i figure if i tighten the spring a hair it might reduce it.

unless you're boosting pass 23 psi, it wont hold your boost.... or something higher psi.

then you have to tighted the screw. after you tightened the screw, it still flutters.

it is not suppose to flutter, loosen until it stops unless your running high boost

are you sure its not supposed to flutter, because ive gone through this before and ive always been told to not touch the screw, and that the flutter is normal at low rpms

heres where i got my info they say it flutters at part throttle, but malibu says you might be able to adjust a little,(i dont think i would touch it)

I installed mine yesterday out of the box didn't seem to need to adjust anything. I think the instructions specifically say its set for the Evo already. I haven't noticed any flutter at all though.

errr....turbo surge is no good. Which one did you end up going with? If you do not experience the flutter what kind of BOV are you running?

Exaactly, people always try to tell me how flutter is ok and if you know how the fluttering happens, you'll understand it better and realize WHY its no good. if fluttering happens it means its too stiff for the boost you're running. higher boost=stiffer spring
