i've put my s-techs 2 weeks ago and i hate them. I admit that car looks sick but handling is worse than on stock spring and i hear some grounding and clicking noise all the time I'm putting my stock springs back on monday

lol jease so much animosity towards the s-techs.... Well, I don't know if they're different on the MR (different struts) or what, but I've had them on my 04' for 2 years and no problems at all. Tire wear is normal and the car looks great. I only use the car as a daily driver- so handling isn't an issue.

im also in a rut like this, im continplating on lowering the car, but not sure if i should blow 800 on on the tein basics coilovers, but since everyone has said the handling with the stechs sucks, i'll definetly not lower it those. im lookin for something that will give my car a more agressive stance but at the same time not start ****ing up on me, such as tires, camber and other bells and whistles.

after i got mine installed took about 6 weeks for me to say damn i should have done that alingment....both the front went one after the other the inner wall was gone...completely. i then got a set of used advans and did the performance set up at a local shop that ACTUALLY WILL WORK ON THAT MUCH OF AN AGRESSIVE DROPED CAR and yes it did handle like a beast on cornering...also next on the list is a rear sway bar...to stiffen the chassis i want to get the lower arm bars and i forgot what its called but it conects all four tires for an even stiffer suspension and even better handling....but yes lowering it with S tech springs got expensive...cost me one tire/two tire/new set of tires/performance set up....and sways....shoulda gotten a damn coil over kit....

The car will go faster (Lap Time) when you have coilovers. Better cornering instead of wasting time plowing.

Again like people have been telling you when you install the springs(assuming they were installed properly) all you would need to do is get an alignment. Now if for some odd reason the alignment didnt work and you still have a negative or positive camber then you will may want to try either switching the bottom bolt of the strut to the knuckle around 180degrees or you can try getting eccentric bolts.

I installed a set of tein s techs on my friends evo with no problems but you never know. I am now running a set of very aggressive zeal(aka endless) custom function x coil overs which are not designed for the american stock evo rims. The japanese evo rims are a +5 offset. If you just bolt up this suspension to the stock rims the tire will rub the spring. Therefore to fix this, one must either get aftermarket rims or wheel spacers. There is no issue with the rear.

If their is a camber problem most likely its a alignment issue however, you always want to make sure you go to the source of the problem.
