i have heard that the motor isn't as bulletproof as the Evo's - there were a few blown motor stories on NASIOC that are partly what scared me away from the STi - so is that the "basic design" issue you're referring to?
i think Subie would have been better off bringing the 2.0 motor here, but.....
Good Job guys. Just give me a couple more months and I should be tailin right behind yall
OH AND! 10.9 on a STOCK TURBO is ABSOLUTLY RIDUCLOUS I dont know any other car that can do that. SOMEBODY please tell me if there is another car that can do that in the same class as the evo.

Great Job Al 10.18 is so close to the 9's. If you added some NOS you would be there for sure.
Big
for Curt Brown wow a 10.9 on stock turbo is incredible! Make's you think who needs a turbo upgrade if my Evo was that fast I would not know what to do.

i'm just wondering, not trying to pick sides or make excuses. afterall, i drive an Evo and would rather see the Evo win the battle!!

It's just much easier to make power in evos with a short header, factory front mount intercooler routing, and a very high flowing head and intake.
