This really sucks for me

The other day i got a speeding ticket for going 27 over and now my insurance is going to go through the the roof. So now i need to sell my graphite grey mr because im not going to be able to afford insurance anymore. The car has less than 6000 miles and is like brand new. I hoping to get 32000 or best offer. I dont have any pics right now but will have some soon. PM if your interested

Maybe your insurance company won't notice (for awhile anyway).

Go to court....try to get it reduced. I bet the judge would at least knock it down to a lower fine/points category.

Do you know what your insurance premiums are gonna be now? Or are you just speculating?

Yeah, there's almost ALWAYS something you can do to keep it off your record, or at least reduce it

Yeah I mean....I have friends that went to court that got out of misdemeanor drag racing tickets...they were reduced to driving with a broken tail lamp or something. Ive gotten tickets drastically reduced myself. Its common. Just go to court. Im not saying your gonna get a miracle....but it cant hurt.

Sorry to hear man, but unless you have a bunch of tickets, your rates shouldn't go up too much.

I would definately fight it though, the judge will usually reduce it to 5 over or something. Good luck

Here's an idea, don't drive like an idiot. Your insurance will most likely stay the same.

5000 a year? 2500 a year? Holy crap, how old are you, 13? That sucks horribly, mine's like 1200 a year and I'm only 18

Last time I checked, drag racing is legal...

I think you ought to stick with zmarko's advice, you know he plays a doctor on the radio, right? I think that makes him a great moral authority.

UT, he did say he had a good grades discount.

If you seriously want to keep you MR go to court. Tell the judge you have no problem paying the fine but you just can't get the points. Ask if there is a defensive driving class you may attend. They will then give you the phone number to call to attend a class. If you take the class they will just drop the ticket all together. I took the class for my state last Saturday so I know what I'm talking about! Look into this in your state if you want to keep you car!
