That's because you are probably getting hit with laser and none of them will save you unless you have a laser jammer.

it seems that ppl who have thye V1 are really loyal to it. Sometimes I think I'm the only person in the world who tried it and sent it back I wonder if the V1 users have ever really tried anything else.....

I have a V1 and the arrows are killer! If I drive past a Walgreens and the detector is beeping yet there is a sherrif 1000ft up the road I know it and I know exactly where to look, no need to check all my mirrors. I also was recently reflashed for FREE to add pop coverage to my V1. Customer support is tops bar-none with Valentine.

I spoke to a few Air Force pilots about the V1. They use it in many of their trainers for dog fight simulation. If it's good enough to detect a sidewinder missle, it's good enough to detect a cop.

This sounds a bit suspect.... The USAF uses V1's in their trainer aircraft to detect sidewinder missiles? Is this some kind of urban myth or what.... I know a little bit about military and government procurement, and I've also worked on several military aircraft projects many years ago. If the V1 was used in miltary aircraft for missile detection, we'd sure know all about it by now and the V1's would prolly not be available for the public to buy....... Oh yeah, I don't know that they install any commercially available products in any military aircraft. Actually every single part of any military item has a mil-spec number and a mil-spec sheet. I've never seen the mil-spec for a radar detector associated with the V1....

Also, Wingnut, I didn't know they actually shot sidewinders in "simulation."
