Evolution OEM Yokohama tire life

Hey guys, new here and looking for an Evo. Haven't deceided about buying a new GSR or a used one with less than 10k on the odo. I am doing my best to find a used one that has NOT been beaten on. My question is this: how many miles did you guys get out of the OEM Yokohama's? I have seen a few low mileage examples with new tires on all corners, with mileages as low as 4,100 (autotrader.com). Did not confirm if they were snow tires though, but I probably won't buy a car that went through a winter. I am just a little skeptical of a car with 4,100 miles on it and the tires were worn out and replaced. Anyone agree with me here? Seems to me like a car with new tires would have been driven pretty hard, and possibly more wear and tear on other parts (clutch, tranny, transfer case, etc).

What mileage did you guys get on your OEM tires?

On the OEM tires right now I have about 16k and have more meat to it. In my opinion, it is better to save up more and get a new one because alot of Evos would have been abused. If you think about it, if an owner knows that he won't be able to make the payment and has to get rid of the car, he would beat the crap out of it out of spite.

I hear you. I am just trying to stay away from the depreciation, but it seems like the resale value is pretty good on the Evo's. I also HATE dealing with car salesman.

serisously mine were done in 5k and i didnt drive them hard. i drive a windy road to work everyday but i was surprised they last so little.

mine had a little on them left but nothing worth keeping over winter and then putting htem on for another 2k miles.

i wouldnt be tooo surprised about 4100.... i mean thats little but not to little based on my driving.
