My Forge recirculating BOV is pretty loud with my RMR intake. It scared my friend when we traded cars for one day. He had to get used to it in between shifts.

See if this will help you guys get an idea of the sound. I can have the radio at a moderate volume and can barely hear it, and only when I really give her hell. (moderate meaning a volume that I could still speak with passangers)

I'm not going to say the word, but for the most part, BOVs are a staple Asian crop...
Totally agree with you here, especially with the "staple Asian crop". No wonder I almost feel like it is time to move on to a different vehicle. It's things like this that makes me and many feel like the EVO is like that "staple Asian crop". Anyways, just my opinion and no one elses. So no harm done!

The same site has sound links.

I have a HKS SSQV on my car with BR intake mods and it's pretty loud (and I don't really intend it to be)

Comparo sound linky: HKS SSQV Sound Clip - my car
which is actually all recirc sound coming from inside mass air pipe through the MAF sensor through the cone filter...

I've heard that Blitz makes the best sounding ones tho... but I don't know that first-hand myself.

AMS replaced my stock box with a K&N cone and it made the BOV loud enough for me. Why would you want a BOV louder than your radio?

Put your dough into making your car faster instead of making it SOUND fast. A loud BOV with nothing to back it up is no better than the ricers with coffee can mufflers.

Actually in HK no, but yes from HK, as a matter of fact just came back to the States 2 months ago. Will be heading back again in end of May.

Anyways, back on topic....you can always get a Bov sound imatator for like under $25. Here you go - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33742

I get the "Asian staple crop thing, (ie: rice)" So if someone could explain to me what exactly is "RICE".... cause I am completly new to this 4cyl thing. As this is my first 4cyl car. No smart azzes plz I know what rice is.

Evo ain't no punk stock...... No coffe cans here..... FWIW I have a 95 347 Mustang GT juiced up, that hauls plenty enough azz, should that not be enough then I have a 67 Chevelle SS 427, and if that doesn't fix it then I have a 95 Beretta that dynoed 1018 hp and runs deep into the 5's at the local 1/8 mile track.

With that being said, I am not looking for another rocket, I have 3 already. I am planning on getting the evo in the low 11's. The BOV is just for amusement

If you really had lots of money, you could vent your current BOV into another BOV into another BOV and so on... then you'd have a whole band under your hood... plenty of ways to get "loud"

Puhahahahahaha. Now that was funny...

VTA is bad. But to help you out, do you have the horn attachment for your GFB BOV? If not, then you should get it.

At the last dyno day, there was a guy running the TurboXS RFL VTA and it was crazy loud. Easily notifies any police in the area.
