I must say, it is for selfish reasons that I like the leather. My younger brother has 05 Sti and rags on me night and day about wanting to trade in the S2000 for an EVO. He thinks the Sti is the better car and really hates the EVO interior, so when I saw the leather in person I knew I could shut him up for good. Both with the look of the leather and on the track! Yes I am a Scooby HATER. Sibling rivalry will do that!
I have the leather and LOVE it. No, I don't slide! I've had leather on my Eclipse for over 2 years as a daily driver - NO WEAR! (And I haven't used special leather products either)
The HID's work real well, and I NEED fog lights, even if they are not as effective as those on the Eclipse up here in the mountains with 5-20 ft visibility. (No kidding!) Could do without a sunroof - every time I've had one the weight of 5 ft or more of snow on it has busted the motor, just from sitting.
The whole point is - you buy what YOU NEED - other posters didn't read your post - you're not planning on drag racing with this car and you want a comfortable daily driver with 4 doors. (Like that too, now I can put my rolling cart on the back seat with the armrest down and it's very secure and doesn't fly across the car when I take a curve, as was.)
I don't plan to race either, though many call my mountain driving racing ...love 75mph and up on the "Rim of the World" highway....

Good for you. I checked out both models with and without leather and you can see which route I went. Personally, I thought the leather was kinda rough and cheapish .... The S2000 is an awesome car. I've seen them in action ....

Uh....no. With you logic, any car can go under anytime if the driver could launch better or shift better. What's the difference between 4.1 and 3.9secs.....it's just 2/10 of a second. You will get there if you launch or shift better....

And 4.9...??? hahahah.....

Girly car ???
I have yet to see a girl driving one in So Cal.

I think it's funny that people see the 1/4 mile times as the defining measure of performance for a car. As to which is faster/better all around it's very simple:
It's the one with the better driver.
