A little over two years ago I started my search for a new car. After considering everything from the 350z, Sti, Evo, RX8, G35c to name just a few. I had narrowed it down to the S2000 and the EVO. Very different cars, I know, but that was my decision.

Well I bought the S2000...and have loved every minute of it. Especially with the great weather here in Las Vegas.

Now I have two kids and it is time to be more practical. In other words, we need a second car that can tote the kids when schedules take us in different directions.

I went by the dealership today to take a look at the EVO...WOW what a difference the leather interior makes. I personally believe the MR is a waste of money. Furthermore, I need a sunroof since I spent the past two years with a convertiable. I'll go crazy with a solid roof. I also have loved the HIDs on the S2000. So it is a plus that they will be part of the package.

Conclusion, the leather/stereo/sunroof package on the 8 is perfect for me. I just could not believe how nice the interior looked with the leather interior. Really adds to the overall look and helps hide the incredible amount of cheap plastic used. In my opinion it makes it better than the Sti interior. Two thumbs up to Mitsu for allowing the option!!!

Now I just have to wait until the 9 is available.

The MR is too much but 34 and change is great for a sunroof, leather, and HIDs?

I guess to each his own. I'll take the MR. The leather does look nice, though. Personally, I'll just buy some used seats from an Evo 9.

word to the wise! even you love a car always make the dealer think you hate it and JEW them down! I hope to god if your S2000 was new when you got it you did not pay over 30k for it if so again you got butt-raped!
took me 4 mths to get the deal I wanted! But i got-er-dun blue 04 leather/sr/stereo 30k-trade in 01 prelude with 50k on it-17k

 

evos arent about leather and luxury! or "sun and sound" as mitsubishi would say! their just bad *** all wheel drive monsters!

 

s2000 = slow *** girls car.

I am happy with the plastic interior, keeps it simple. Leather is a waste. Why would you need leather on an Evo? It is just something else to maintain. I had leather on my GSX and the leather on the side bolsters was tearing to shreds after a while. Leather won't help you at the traffic light.

 

Its is just that I see more chicks than guys driving them. except my buddy has one and I smoke his pretty rag top every time. don't they have like 240 hp and 170 tq at like 8000 rpm.= weak imo besides alot of dudes can't even fit in one. and btw I'm not a hater, I just call it like I see it.

 

You see more chicks driving s2000's? The only time I see a girl in an s2000 is in the passenger seat. I see mostly guys driving them. I would see a girl driving a Miata before I see them in an S2000. You must have some rich women or women married to rich men where you live.

 

Actually it's 240hp at 9000 rpm and 153 tq at 7500 rpm. Very weak either way. You can leave one at the light. But once they are up to speed, like the highway, they can haul ***. They are also light.

 

ive prolly only seen like a few girls w/ s2k. and ive seen a lot

 

I also had a 350z but with 2 kids also I found it really nice to have about the same performance in a 4 door car, I also got my 05 with leather,sunroof and sound system I love it.
