Ok, yes I did search but did not find exactly what I was looking for so I figure ask here .........

I have that BOV, and it sounds great!! You can definitely hear the swoosh. I only stalled twice since the 5 months I've had it, but that was stupidity on my part....coming off a high rev tryin to impress someone and not watching my idle. At first I had a few times when it would be lean on the idle but never really low. I can't really speak for other BOV's but thought I'd put in my 2 cents on this one. It fits perfectly where the stock BOV used to be...it's maybe a 15 minute install. As with any VTA, you have to watch idle when coming off a hard rev, but it's only a slight adjustment to driving style. If you can drive your car right, you won't have idle issues.

I used to have this bov for close to 4 or 5 months...never had any idle/stalling problems what so ever. Very loud woosh sound just like a VTA. Hope I helped.

I have a TiAl BOV installed on my EVO and it sounds insane. I have had others in the past and nothing compares. The swoosh is loud and noticeable and just makes me want to keep shifting all the time

Hass Autoworks...
It used to go for $350 when it first came out. Does that price above that you mentioned include the flange? The retail price for the BOV is $229.00 and the flange if you need it is $21.00. The shipping is around $7.00 so it is right around the price you gave. I would suggest emailing Mark at Hass Autoworks...

mark@hassauto.com

He will get you going if you want to pick one up.

Do you need a flange for the turbosmart BOV or the Tial BOV or both? I thought the turbosmart was 100% bolt on. I'm confused now.

The turbosmart is a direct drop in, that requires no adapters. The gentleman that had it stall on his car twice in a year, he needs to adjust the BOV. This BOV has worked flawlessly on several of my cars. The Tial BOV is a fully atmosphereic BOV that will cause the car to run rich and possibly set a CEL. Turbosmart all the way!

If you get the Evo-specific BOV, then it'll bolt right on.

I had it on for about 3 months, stalled only twice. The occasional erratic idle and potential stalling don't bother me....but during part-throttle release, it causes compressor surge and makes a fluttering sound. I tried to release the spring tension but it never solves the problem.

Also I do not have any mods at all to my EVO nor do I want any at this time. I just want to be able to hear the BOV more without having stalling issues and this seems to be a perfict match. I own a car with turbo so I want to be able to hear it!!!!!!!!!!
