4 college kids chased me for 10 miles just to get me to rev me engine...?!...

just today... my cousin sat in my evo for the first time after i changed to a aftermarket bov..

he asked me " is there something wrong with your car."
me" why?"
him " it keeps making whoooosh whoooosh sound, sound like your car is having problems"..

i just laughed

 

I went to a ford dealership with a friend. She was looking at used trucks. This salesman kept on saying he has seen her before with my evo. But, that was not the case. She told him she never can with me before. When we were going to my car to leave, the salesman says to me "I can get you a good trade-in value and if you remove the wheels and wing, I will get you an extra 1000 dollars". I told him those were stock items and he didnt seem to believe me. My friend and I laughed as we left the dealership.

 

Went into Subway to pick up some food. Then out of no where someone i dont even know comes up to me and begs for a test drive. Being the nice person I am I took him out for a quick spin up and down the street.

 

It amazes me how, considering how much press the evo has hade in all facets of the car world, that people still don't know what it is.

 

^^^ exactly... Today my Aunt saw it for the first time and asked if it went into space (mocking the silver color and the wing), but old women don't know anything about cars lol. Then I took my sister for a ride and she said "Why does it sound like it's sneezing everytime you shift" ahah

 

this one is the worst, my friend and his girl are riding with me to a restaurant, and while I'm accellorating and shifting she asks, "why do you keep hitting the breaks". Apparantly, she had NEVER been in a car with a stick shift.

I got STI drivers give me the finger when they drive by

 

Cuz they're effin retahded. I have come to realize a LOT of Subaru owners are needle weeners when it comes to the competition, you have an STi you think you are invincible it seems.

 

Yeah I was doing 65 in a 35 the other day. Some guy in his front yard screamed SLOW DOWN!....I dont know what his problem was....

 

No one in my area cares about what an EVO is

i had the hottest blonde chick roll next to me on a side street in a saleen 271.... looks at me... takes off her sunglasses (mind you she was gorgeous)... yells out loudly over her crazy car "nice car!" i smiled... shifted (backround noise of whapppssshhhhh from my greddy type RS)... and quickly screamed... "will you marry me!!!"

I was on I-75 south late one night coming back from a Dyno4mance dynoday when a Toyota Solara from Kentucky came up behind me. (It looked to be two college guys on their way to Florida for spring break.) I was in the middle lane doing around 75mph at this point and he began to do orbits around my car on the highway. He would speed up then slow down and let me pass him going between the far left and right lanes. Finally after about six times of him doing this he had got out in front of me in the right lane by about two car lengths. I dropped it into 4th gear and floored it and passed him doing a little over 90 or so. Afterwards, when I had slowed back to 75mph, he just past me and kept on going. I guess he just wanted to see and hear what my car could do. weird

 

Friday night stopped in an Advanced A/P store to get an alternator belt for the new motor in the Dragster, and I look down at the little hotwheels/various items under the frt of the counter and see a micro remote control car of a Silver Evo 6 and grabbed it- figure I'll chase my cat around with it. AS we leave the dude that was helping us comes RUNNING across the parking lot yelling " Hey guys, hey guys!!" We were thinking maybe we forgot something. Runs up and sez- " so this is the MR?" " yes, I had an '03 WW VIII. He's like" oh that was the glorified Lancer model wasn't it?" ummmm no- we started laughing and he's got all red faced (embarrassed)- He told us all about his SRT-4 and the stage 15 kit he's got on it, blah, blah..... really creeping me out....
