They have the same titanium turbo.

Until I saw the Evo VII only on pics, I thought the TME is the nicest. Then I clapped my eyes on the VII... The Evo VII is the car which is much more nicer in real life than in pictures.

You levelled the TME-VII match It's draw now.

RS2-TME RS2: That's interesting. We also has/had both cars, and they were fitte dwith the same titanium turbo. As I remember, it was a factory option on the "old" non-TME RS-2.
How about the VII? All LHD VIIs have the titanium turbo, or not?

For the Evo7, the titanium turbo is standard on the RS and is optional on the GSR and RS-2.

I prefer the Evo6 TME as opposed to the Evo7, but i am biased.
There is a pretty good article on Japanese Car magazine, i believe, that discusses the differences between both cars.
It was pretty much down to your own preference.

On Friday I've driven both.
VII is the winner! (For me)

Id have to go with the 7, just about all the lancers before that had spoilers and airdams that were a bit 'overstated' if you will. I like the 7 best because it looks more like a sedan and more of a sleeper. I love my sleepers.

Mike, the reason is that I wanted to know whether the tires had any influence on the handling. And with that knowledge I can say a big YES. The S-O1s are the worst tires I have experienced myself and are widely regarded as one of the worst if not THE worst tire for the Evo. I guarantee you that a 6 with better tires (like the 46s or Pirelli P-Zero) would have felt a lot better than with the S-O1s. Thanks for the info!

Your welcome.
Tomorrow I'll change the wheels on the two cars and drive them.
(The orginal reason to see if the Evo VII looks good with the TME Enkeis or not, because I don't like the factory VII wheels. The problem is that they're 8x17", TME have only 7.5x17s)
We'll see how much likes my VII the S-01s...

Be sure to check the clearance of the caliper cause the 6 and the 7 have different wheel offset. But putting 6 wheels on a 7 shouldn't be the problem, the other way round would be.

no EVOs will ever be as cool or as driver-skill oriented as the 3 and 4 were...and still are ...
