Evolution Maintenance
Hey Fireball... It seems evidentally that you work for Mits... Tell me, did these guys giving the training seem to know what they were talking about at all?? Or, did they mention anything about the price hike-up?? Cause I saw the part where it says, "Lancer Evolution Customers"... What kind of comments did they say in that regards?? Did they say that we're morons? "Sure they'll pay anything you throw at them!" As you can tell, I'm still frustrated about the price thing...
Fireball....I'm not ****ting on you in any way, just wondering what kind experience that class was able to give you... You seem like a knowledgeable person that's why I'm looking for your honest opinion...

Kirk does just fine in product training. It's what
pays him for after all. As regards to the aggenda page where it says "Lancer Evolution Customers", that refers to a discussion during the class of the Evo's expected customer demographics - who the target buyer for this car is (this is a sales training brochure remember, not for customers).
As for a "price hike-up", what are you talking about?
Kirk didn't want to comment on our class about any price hikes, because some of the dealers in our class were some of the "hikers" if you will.
The only thing he said is that it is supply and demand. It's a car you can make a lot of money on if you feel customers will pay that much for it.

Honestly, it varied a lot. But it mainly came down to the fact that anyone under 22ish won't be able to afford the insurance on it, or the maintenance. Anyone who is in the age range mentioned above who doesn't want a car that will require care (just a get in and drive car) isn't meant for this either.
I understand the target of people that Mits is going for, and kinda respect that.. The EVO is not just some sporty toy that any kid can just get inside of and start ripping it up.. It's a delicate machine.. I know many people that have AWD turbo eclipse's and they keep breaking them.. Then they wonder why it's a heap of crap..
But one thing that I meant about this training that you guys had was what did you actually "learn" about the car that you didn't already know... I know a few salesman that went to this training class, and they still don't know jack about the car...! I was starting to get annoyed at their ignorance... Anyways, throughout the time we've been waiting, you two have provided great information and I, as well as others I believe, certainly appreciate it...!

Mark F, Fireball, et al: Can any of you give a listing of the 27 points mentioned? And is the oil change just an oil change or is a filter required too (I hope so)? Basically I'm just wondering about the expectations on the technicians as far as being thorough and doing quality work - especially since I assume the pit pass is probably $1500-2000.
