Question Want to Dynoflash?

After installing a drop in filter, catback, & ebc (20psi) I want to get a dynoflash done. However, there aren't any locations near me (Cincinnati) So, I'm thinking of doing the mailin thing? Three questions:

1. Anyone know how long it takes to get the unit back?
2. Any recommendations for who to send it to?
3. Is it worth it (typical HP gains?)

Sorry for the amount of questions and thanks!

I say, wait until you get some more things.

Or datalog and safc. you're probably dipping down below 9 afr after 5000 rpm.

get a fuel pump too.

For someone who doesn't know much about working on cars, how difficult is it to take out the ECU before sending for a dynoflash?

Anything I should know while uninstalling or reinstalling?

Thanks!

taking the wire clips out is the hardest part. and waiting for them.

I think it's only 4 10mm bolts, take the wire clips out (4) then you could take it out.

you have to take the glove box out first.

Just push in the left clip up, and it'll all come out. Do that first, so you could move the ECU wire cover out easier.

Its easy to remove your ecu and a satisfying feeling if you have never wrenched on your car before. Detailed directions are located in my section of the forums and also on the contact page of www.dynoflash.com

As for rev limiters most through the mail flahses get a raised rev limit to 7800 rpms which is slightly higher then the factory 7606. Up to 10,000 is available upon request

I match your ecu to work with the mods you specify when you send in the ecu. $199 plus shipping covers it - including a/f correction, revised ignition timing, boost cut elimination, and on board ecu boost control.

Al, my car feels slower. Why is that?

Could you send me an email letting me how my AFR is setup?

Also, you've never answered on where my RPM rev limit is set now.

I do have some boost questions too. On 3rd gear it's at 21psi, 4th gear it's at 23.5psi and on 4th gear it's at 25psi.

Is this normal?

I am planning on getting a fuel pump this week. I will eventually get cams. I don't think I will want anything else this year besides a flash or XEDE. It is a daily driver and I have not voided warranty yet. Pump and flash will not either as far as I am told. Yes I have searched about a flash and a XEDE, so please don't criticize. I know about pros and cons of both. Am I missing a mod with fuel pump to warrant a flash or xede? Al-If I get a flash did I just waste $325 and hours on a boost controller?

Haha, you haven't voided the warranty? You better rethink, because you changed the boost.

A tune is well worth it, even on a stock evo. The mods just make it that much better. If you plan on modding do everything at once and get tuned. Of you will probobly do more in the future, but how long do you want to drive around underutilizing your cars potential. Al is great, he is a conservative tuner, and wouldn't do anything to damage your car, while making great gains in performance.

Your boost reading soundy kinda peaky but thats normal with a MBC, your turbo will be able to work more efficiently the longer the gear you are in is..FYI My mr edition gained 4mph trap speeds with the reflash and it's bone stock other then the reflash..Stock and reflashed runs were both backed up..I would make dynoflash my FIRST mod, its the most HP per dollar by a longshot..

i told my service rep that i have an ebc that I set at 1.38 bar and he said that is fine as long as I don't over boost and blow my engine. ofcourse they won't cover human error, but the car can certainly handle 20 psi, one over stock. i also talked to him about syncros and he said bring it if it gets bad and they will gldaly fix it.
