I have replaced my synchros twice know at the dealer, since i last got them fixed and replaced he said they woudl be under warranty since i was letting the dealership do the work, he gave me a personal guarantee, so i let them do it....recently the 4th gear synchro went out again...i brought it back and he said he talked to Mitsu of Amer. and said they woudl not cover warantee since it was "highly modified"....

I knew they woudlnt cover it, but the parts dept. mgr. TOM said he would personally have his dealerhsip cover them. Jeff Diambrosio Mitsubishi..i wasnt looking for the factory warante to cover it i was looking for the dealership to cover it, liek he said. So i called Mitsubishi of America and they said it should fall on the shoulders of the owner or GM, exactly what i thought.

So i called Tom back and he was so nervous that they asked me to get the GMs or owners number, as of know he was calling Mitsubishi of Amer. back and i have not yet heard back since about an hour ago...

I will deffinately take this to my lawyer if he tries and says that he or the owner will not cover the problmes...what do you all think????

i think i would beleive this if it were still stock, but looking over about 40 drag races 15 or so auto crosses, i think im making to much power for stock parts anymore....

not that that matters cause i was "personally guaranteed" warante on these parts.

 

SOunds like a great opportunity to let TRE or Sheppard rebuild your tranny. Maybe you can negotiate with the dealer to cover labor and you cover parts.

 

1.) Get your tranny done by TRE or Sheppard
2.) Get your clutch adjusted
3.) Do an evaluation of your shifting techniques, good or bad
4.) Be glad you got two synchro replacements
5.) Enjoy a good redone tranny

how could that power cause his sycros to go?!! its bs i think...unless they can prove a direct like specifically showing how the power broke the sycros then they can deny it. since they haven't and prbly won't it should be coverd. don't let them bs u man

 

how do you think the power is transferred to the wheels?
