Dyno Help

Do any of you know if there are any AWD dyno that allows you to run it at a fixed RPM and load? Or are they all pretty much the type that torque is only measured by accelerating the rollers? I have seen engine dyno that can provide a fixed load. However, I was hoping to tryout my concept using my EVO on a chassis dyno to save cost.

BTW, This is for an engine mod idea I wanted to try out. It’s one of those more torque, more power, better mileage at very little additional cost to the car manufacture type of idea. But I’ll need to be able to run it against a fixed load at one rpm at a time for me to verify the concept.

My guess is that I'll require 50 to 100 dyno pulls over one to two month or so. Don't want to pay retail for this many pulls.

Thanks for you help.

Dynapacks can do that. It'll spit out torque in real time so that makes tuning a ton more quicker.

I believe that Mustang dyno's can do this as well.

You can even get a load unit for a dynojet, but I dont' think they make one for their AWD units.

Thank you very much for your help.

Only Mustang's site listed shop's addresses and the model of dyno they have. Too bad none of them are located in the South Bay of Los Angeles.

Do you guys have any recommendations for AWD dyno shops in the south Bay?

Thanks again for your help.

Dynapackusa has a list of shops that run their dyno's. Check it out.
