Evo Vs. C5 Vette Pissing match...(Rednecks Within)

Well I managed to stumble across a thread in a local car forum that I find rather irritable. I figured I stir some stuff up and get your guy's reactions. Personally I think the thread is ridiculous. Closed minded ignorant people annoy me.

Forum Thread (2nd page)

Have fun!

Wow, next they'll be saying how their 60000$ car is soooo much better than the 15000$ civic. Really, its like comparing the vette to a viper, it's a completely different class of car.

Sadly enough I experience the same thing up here, as soon as you say "yeah the WRX/STi/Evo is fast car" everyone immediately says "meh I'd get a corvette". Well using that argument I'd go "meh corvettes are for queers, I'd get a 360 Modena or a TVR Caebera".

Here's a thought

Put your 12 second EVO on a road course and we'll see how she does... its still a 4 door rice rocket and not a sports car.
after this i stopped reading...

It's like straight line guys saying the Evo would be easy to take on a road course by something like a Trans Am...

The point when I knew they were full of crap, was when they said that the WRX is "just like an Evo".....

You could have fooled me. Maybe add an "STi" to the end of that WRX, and you start to make more sense...

none of that even phased me, sadly I think I've gotten used to "american muscle" . sadly enough I think most of us have alot of respect for cars that produce power and results .

which most american car owners dont. which is sad.
