600whp it`s 10 sec car! not 11!!!

 

Well, anytime you get into that high horsepower, you are expected to make a huge investment. So, if my goal was to make 601 awhp and run RIGHT (that's the key) then I would expect it to be that much.

$16,000 for a 350AWHP gain is pretty dam impressive if you ask me, especially when we are talking about a 4-Cylinder here. Plus this car remains streetable. Try and take a guess at how much it would take for your Lancer to make 350 extra WHP and remain streetable, believe me it wouldn't be cheap.

 

This is cheap in the world of longevity and having it done right. Trust me.

 

Also see how many cars you can buy with 600WHP for about $45,000. Any production cars that are near that hp cost way more than that.

Also arent they very expensive? I heard they were pretty high. Also still only 500hp at the crank instead of over 600 at the wheels. The C6 Z06 is a lot of car for the money but its still hard to beat a new car with 600whp for about $45000.

Yes, you do need to say more. The money argument is stupid and always has been. You can take a old 5.0 and run 10's for 7-8K does that make it better than Chris's EVO?

You can take a EVO and drop 30K on built everything under the sun and out 1/4 mile and road course a C6 Z06...does that make it a better car than a Z06?

Just a little FYI the new C6 Z06 just trapped 125.4mph BONE STOCK at Bowling Green. With a blower and that's it MTi, Cartek, and the Vette Doctor are all expecting 600RWHP/600ft/lbs TQ....and traps in the mid 130 range all on pump gas!!

Not too mention it will pull 1g stock, top out at over 190mph, and out brake just about everything STOCK. Modded the C6 Z06 will beat just about every super car with 10-15K in it.

With that said does that make it bette than a Ferrari, Lamborghini, Carrera GT, or Maserati 112?

The money argument is stupid and people will gravitate and try to "Buck up" the class of car they can afford. If you made 1 million per year you would not be talkign about a EVO...you wouldn't even think about a EVO for a car.

We live in world that we can afford.

Agreed, butttt one of the first things out of every domestic boards when they see the EVO beating up on one of the Cobras or F-bodies is "the EVO has more money in it"...as if that doesn't make it a fair race. Sooo, it's fun just to pick back at them by bringing up the money issue when it comes to some cars.

Actually, I think a lot of us here truly respect the C6 Z06...heck, if I were not married with children, that would be my first choice for a sports car hands down...I would EVEN pick it over the "exalted" E46 M3...

It should be considered an Honor that we are even trying to compare to the benchmark of American Sports Car Design...

That being said...the 600+ EVO would still spank one till it's bottom was red...
