I was on the road friday night with my roommate going back home, so he says punch it so i can see what this car can do. i donwshifted to 3rd and all of a sudden i hear a loud explosion, i was like "Holy ****"!!! I immediately thought i blew a piston or spun a rod bearing. Popped the hood and looked around and couldnt see anything, didnt smell anything either. I start moving parts around and i hear something loose, turns out the hose in the upper IP hose had popped off! This has never happened to me, also did notice that the car was boosting to like 28psi!!! I hit fuel cut also, it was weird. As i was tightening the hose, i also noticed the other side was loose too. These hoses suck :bashcar: !! Time for some upgrades!! It was a scary moment for me since i never had anything happen like this before. Though i would share with everyone!

 

get band clamps or t-bolt clamps. Make sure stock ones are tighter.

^ exactly since i did blow my engine at 2000 miles due to factory defective bearing

Happened to me twice. Both times when I was in second gear. I knew when i started it back up it was something to do witn vacuum because the car wouldn't idle. Def. was a scare at first.

 

Happened to me after the mechanic that swapped my clutch didn't tighten the UIC pipe all the way. Just happened to be in the middle of a river run with a bunch of Evos/SRT4s/etc. Ruined my day :

 

hapened to me when i went for my first test ride after i put the Injen kit on....not fun
