what i would like someone here to race (not me) would be the Dodge Pickup SRT-10, I hear that thing is sick..
now this is the question you shoulda asked...
what would win at the track:
Ford Lightning
Dodge SRT-10

Porsche barely took first, followed very very closely by the Skyline and 3rd was the VII right on the Skyline's ***, then in a distant 4th was the NSX, and last was the 360 Modena. If you've never heard or seen a Best Motoring DVD i seriously suggest u rent some from netflix.com (they got a 2 week free trial offer, and have 15 of the 21 dvd's). You can check out the Best Motoring site here:

Plus one needs to know a lot more about weight transfer and propper braking techniques with an s2000. The evo is simply super easy to drive. It makes the drivers look a lot better than they are trust me i track mine all the time.
s2000 is a fun car though, and probably would be more fun to track stock for stock as it would be so much more difficult to put up fast consistent times.

Remember guys, I am not talking about which car is easier to drive. I am placing reference w/ me behind the wheel. I am by no means an inexperienced driver and am fully capable of taking the S2k to its limits. You have to be on the edge to be fast w/ that car and yes, you are both correct in saying that is it a much more difficult car to drive fast. It takes a different style of driving but once you are accustomed to it, you can fly with the car. The average Joe will be much faster in the Evo than in the S2k, but when you get a competant driver in the S2k, be prepared to the run of your lifetime.
OK.
Stock for stock the Evo has the S2000 on the roadcourse and at the strip.
I skipped reading all of the post but I did spend Memorail day weekend at MAM www.midamericamotorplex.com.
There where 2 S2000s on the track with me. Because of driver skill level I was able to pass one with ease.
The second one was on race tires (275 rear 245 front hoosiers) and he was a local guy that had driven numerous miles on the track. He also had, I believe Ohlins Coilovers on the car...................it was very fast.
With my EVO on stock tires, 17x9 rims, Progress rear bar, Eibach springs, Intake, exahust, Braided brake lines, fluid and Hawk blues. I was able to keep him within striking distance at all times (2-10 car lenghts) ..............every time we got into traffic I was back on his bumper. After talking to him we both believe I would have been qwicker than him on race tires..................
So add race tires, real coilovers and more power and I should have been qwicker.
On this day we where the #2-#3 quickest cars on the track (out of 75 cars at the event ).
