Is this a trick question? lol If your talking stock for stock the EVO will win in any track event. 1/4 or road race.

hmm... i'd think it'd be a close call... i hit 3rd gear once and had an S2000 blow right by me. not sure about his mods, but i was stock. make sure to utilize your EVO's suspension to your advantage.

The EVO, if somebody tells you differently then they are wrong and bias, hey I'm bias but I'm backed by skidpad and slalom numbers. Also people please don't tell me about some bunk *** autocross event held in Nobodyeverheardof, Alabama where S2000 were smoking EVOs left and right. When the big dogs come out to play, the S2000 doesn't seem to hang. Seriously though the S2000 is a great handling car, the EVO is just slightly better, most who have owned both would agree.

Tell him to check the #'s yo. The EVO will out perform the S2000 launching, 1/4 mile, and lets not even talk about what it would do on a road course.

hmmmz

Depends Highly on the driver's and what we're talking about, quarter mile the S has no chance but on a touge type run the S can be a tough competitor even for an Evo, I traded in my S for the Evo so I've driven both and yes believe it or not the S pulls a lil on the top end due to VTEC the F20C's high revving behavior, any good driver in an Evo should be able to put the S down though.

Not sure about on a road course, but I do autocross with one regularly. It is completely stock and is usually about 2-3 seconds slower than myself and another guy with an evo on very tight 60 second courses. I was actually within .1 seconds of him at the first autocross of the season while on snow tires.

If you've ever seen a Best Motoring DVD you'd know that stock EVO's usually beat S2k's. In fact i saw one last night where a VII raced against the previous generation Porsche 911 turbo, Skyline GT-R R-34, Honda NSX Type S-Zero, and a Ferrari F360 Modena. Porsche barely took first, followed very very closely by the Skyline and 3rd was the VII right on the Skyline's ***, then in a distant 4th was the NSX, and last was the 360 Modena. If you've never heard or seen a Best Motoring DVD i seriously suggest u rent some from netflix.com (they got a 2 week free trial offer, and have 15 of the 21 dvd's). You can check out the Best Motoring site here:
