yeah i got a speeding ticket for 51 in a 40, about 3 days after I got the evo. stupid CHP. I have no problem with police/sherrif because they do other stuff besides write tickets. CHP are gay tho

120 in a 60 should get you a ticket to jail if it's during the day, but midnight on an empty freeway, can't say that I haven't exceeded the speed a few times.
I think that speeding on the freeway is all about timing.
as for 60 in a 30...ticket every time. that is obviously a residential zone. save the speeding for deserted freeways and the track.

 

Your lucky man...I got a 200 ticket for going 80 in a 65..

 

Why? During the day you have a much clearer view of the road. If anything, you should inverse your statement. Obviously, since the speed limit was 60, he was on a highway, and not a residential zone. If the highway wasn't crowded, I'd say its his own business how fast he was going, and no one elses.

i agree..for me if i do speed it's much wiser in the day because i can see things a lot more clearly including cops....i hardly ever speed at night because i can't tell which vehicles behind me could be a cop

I got pulled over in the city of york in my eclipse for driving around the same block more than 3 times within 2 hours.........that was the dumbest thing ever 550 fine..went to court and got it down to 115 tho....

Also for stupid s*** like street glow and stuff

It's called preventative measures. If there were no consequence for speeding, what reason would people have to not go 100 everywhere? This would just lead to more accidents. While speeding may not kill, it makes hitting that tree or another car more likely.

I think sometimes come cops may get a little 'trigger-happy' with their radar guns, but for the most part speed limits are there simply for our protection.

 

I got luck last week too...65 in a 45 with only a warning!

 

Thats absolutely retarded. If cops didnt write tickets for speeding then everyone would speed excessively. People obey the speed limit for fear of receiving a ticket, hence the law. When I first got my lisence I sped everywhere until I got a huge ticket, now I have learned my lesson. Speeding does kill. Plain and simple. Many accidents could be avoided or less severe if someone wasnt speeding. Obviously you want to drive fast, most people do, especially if you have an Evo. I still drive fast also but I know my limits and what is safe and unsafe.
