i have the go fast bits stealth fx BOV. it is fully adjustable. it can be vented to the atmoshpere, fully recirculated, or anywhere in between. i have had it venting to the atmoshpere the entire time with no problems, no stumbling, no stalling, no hesitating, nothing at all. it has been this way since late december '04.

Okay. I just got back from my VTA BOV testing. I have an 05 GSR with the JDM MR Diverter Valve. I stopped at Autozone and purchased a rubber expanding plug, took off my BOV from the intake pipe and put the plug in and tightened it.

I turned the car on, revved the engine at various loads while stationary, and also went for a 30 minute drive both through the city with stoplights as well as on the highway.

No problems whatsoever. No idle issues, no stalling. Nada. The car runs just as good as when the BOV was recirculated.

I don't know what this means in regards to the 05's having a MAP sensor or not. We need to have some more 05 owners test it out and report back.

So far, so good. I scared the neighbors coming back into my neighborhood.

dude you are right man...the VTA on the 05 model doesnt stall out the car...

sounds like the main whoosh/high pitch whistle on the Greddy Type-S with like a mild after whistle (like the vavle hasnt shut all the way) but only when granny shifting...speed shifting doesnt even let all the air vent(no after whistle)...i guess mine works right :-)...factory settings here (no single spring mod)

Great! That's two 05's confirmed already that there are no issues venting to atmosphere.

Anyone else test theirs?

I have the HKS as well, been VTA for about month and a half never had one problem. Then again a buddy of mine has a Type S and has had nothing but trouble when he runs it VTA, even after doing the spring mod. He drives an 05 as well.
