Unhappy I can't win, more damage to car

well if any of you were on last night, you would have read about how these idiots in a new civic si rear ended me. well that is not the end of it. i am driving down I-70 going to the body shop to get an estimate done for the damage to my rear bumper. i go to change lanes and run of a tire, yes a whole tire, in the middle of the 2 lanes. this rips off the lip, puts a nice size dent in my intercooler, and totally screwed my front bumper as well. thats 2 accidents in 2 days and i could do nothing to prevent either of them. now i am going to have to take a big hit in the wallet and pay out of pocket to fix my front end too. looks like it is time for a jdm evo IX rear bumper, bigger intercooler, and stock front bumper with a CF lip. will it ever end? hopefully

$1000. it won't even be worth it to go through insurance. it is just going to raise my rates and cost me in the long run. i am just going to come out of pocket on this one.

Where can you get a jdm evo IX rear bumper? Will it fit properly, or will you have to remove a bumper support?

Say when the civic rear ended you that it made your rear end leave the ground and cause the front bumper to smash into the ground which messed up your front lip and intercooler. Then make the insurance claims against the guy who rear ended you. BTW, I've seen accidents with my own two eyes where the person gets rear ended and it also damages the front end from it hitting the ground. I hope you called the police right afterwards and filed an accident report for the guy hitting you.

Wrong. Federal insurance laws dictate that your rates cannot be changed if you were not at fault in the accident. Neither of those were your fault. You should immediatedly contact your state's Department of Transporation and tell them you would like to file a road debris claim. Then call your insurance company and notify them of the accident. It is the state's responsibility to keep the roads clear of debris. Let your insurance company know that you filed a complaint. They will then subrogate (go after) the state for the loss.

There is no reason to pay out of pocket.

How do you have to pay for getting rear-ended?
