Leaded Race Gas 110
Leaded Race Gas 110
Just wondering if anyone has used this gas before. I havn't tried it yet. Currently, I do not have a cat and a maf sensor, so would that harm any more sensors? I have heard that it would harm the O2 sensors. Curious if I should try it or not.
It is not good for the O2 sensors and can ruin them. I would rather replace them then have the engine blow. Race gas is alway good insurance. A good alternative would be VP 109 Motorsport. It is unleaded. That is what I usually run in the car at the track.
Like others have said, some limited use of leaded racing gas is fine. If you filled your whole tank with it, first of all, you'd be broke. Second, you'd risk crapping out your o2 sensors and third you'd probably have a nasty film on your back bumper above your exhaust.

Race gas does an Evo good. I pick up 6mph at the track when I switch to race gas and up the boost. I use 110L and mix it with 93 to get me 102-104 range. The leaded gas will gray over your exhaust and it will look like this.
Yeah, I get 110 turbo blue at the pump here in Rochester. Auburn and Rochester rd. Citgo. You will be amazed at how this gas wakes an evo up, you stated before that you are tuned for race gas...what boost levels are you running?

I am thinking it should OK for one day.
